Wildcreek High School

Wildcreek High School (replacing Procter R. Hug High School) is the first new high school in Washoe County School District in nearly two decades and is a state-of-the-art education space to our students. The new 295,000 square foot, three-story building includes 40 general learning rooms, 11 science labs, 15 shared group rooms, 17 specialized labs for art, media, and career tech, student commons, a 425-seat performing arts center, music suits, two gymnasiums, and a JROTC room.

Project Highlights

  • Reno Public Market is a modern twist on retail. For more than 50 years, Shopper’s Square provided retail in the heart of Reno. After a complete renovation, you can now shop, dine and hang out in the community gathering space.

  • Greater Nevada Field is the home to Triple-A Baseball team the Reno Aces. Each year, more than 500,000 visitors enjoy a game at the stadium.

  • Reno-Tahoe International Aiport

    Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Air Traffic Control Tower is the command center for all aircraft communications. More than 4 million passengers travel through the airport each year.

  • Deantronics, an international, medical device technology manufacturer created a $40M tech campus in Spanish Springs Business Center. It is a 200,000 square-foot research, development and manufacturing facility that created 200new jobs for Northern Nevadans.

  • Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Sky Bridge. Dine in its sushi and oyster bar suspended over Reno’s main drag, South Virginia Street.

  • Davidson Math and Science Center, University of Nevada, Reno is a 100,000-square-foot teaching and research facility for mathematics and science.

  • RTC RIDE public transit bus system for the greater Reno-Sparks area. The downtown Reno 4th Street Transit Center is a modern 8,400-square-foot facility on 2.6 acres and is a sustainable design approach that achieved a silver level LEED Certification.

  • Dolan Toyota in Reno, Nevada, is part of the Dolan Auto Group. This new construction of their Toyota dealership reflects Tom Dolan’s dream to “have a legacy of the nicest dealership in Reno.”

  • National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada is 363,000-square foot, 78-lane stadium has been nicknamed the “Taj Mahal of tenpins.” This is one of Martin Iron Works’ largest design-build projects.

  • Peppermill Hotel Casino’s port cochere as part of its $230 million expansion project bringing Las Vegas luxury to Northern Nevada.

  • Heavenly Lake Tahoe gondola is distinguished as one of the most outstanding aerial installations in North American. It boasts the most vertical transport feet, 3,500, and magnificent views of Lake Tahoe.

  • Saint Mary’s Center for Health includes the hospital’s Cancer Center, Health and Fitness Center, many outpatient services, and medical professional offices. It is a six-story building and 215,000 square feet office tower and an eight-level parking structure in the heart of downtown Reno.

  • South Lake Tahoe High School’s Career Technical Education, Green Construction and Transportation Academy is the mecca for technical training in automobile and construction science. The buildings are CHPS Verified — Collaborative for High Performance Schools — which include an environment that improves health, productivity and student performance.

  • Reno Events Center is 118,000 square feet of entertainment space with a 7,000-seat multipurpose arena in downtown Reno. It hosts concerts, community events, tradeshows and sporting events.

  • The Fontaine residence, a private home at Lake Tahoe uses steel beams as part of the structural frame on the home as it sits on rugged mountain terrain. And what a view!

  • Galaxy Theaters opened an IMAX luxury theater at The Outlets at Legends for watching the latest movies in heart-pounding audio and awe-inspiring images.

  • Reno-Sparks Convention Center renovation consisted of the addition of 300,000 square feet of convention space and modernized Reno Sparks Convention & Visitor Authority’s exhibit space and facilities.

  • Renown Health expanded its campus with the addition of the Center for Advanced Medicine B. It is a four-story, 100,000 square-foot structure housing cardiology, family medicine, pediatric neurosurgery and many other medical professional offices.

  • The Freight House District is an entertainment complex attached to Reno Aces’ ballpark, Greater Nevada Field. You’ll find several different bars and restaurants to entertainment beyond the baseball season.

  • A private residence at Lake Tahoe uses intricate curved steel arches for a grand entrance and massive beams to withstand the extreme weather conditions for a structure of this size.

  • Steel bridge component leaves Martin Iron Works for the University of Nevada, Reno, Arts Building which houses the music and art programs with spaces that inspire creativity and artistic excellence.

  • The William N. Pennington Engineering Building at the University of Nevada, Reno, is 100,000-square-feet of dedicated space for all the College of Engineering departments. You’ll find 40 laboratories, a large computer lab, a 200-student classroom, 150 graduate work stations and a Class 100 cleanroom.

  • The Earthquake Engineering Laboratory, Center for Civil Engineering with University of Nevada, Reno, is one-of-a-kind with a 9,600 square-foot high-bay laboratory with complete tie-down strong floor and shake tables. Overall, the building includes 29,000 square feet of laboratory, office and auditorium space.

  • Dolan Lexus Dealership used all local contractors in this design-build project. It is 69,000 square feet of space with demonstration show room and 40 service bays and more. There’s even an event space for nonprofit and community gatherings above the showroom with southwest views of Reno.

  • Reno Event Center’s steel trusses are loaded up by crane and prepare for delivery to the job site.

  • The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe hotel is year-round luxury at Northstar ski resort.

  • Martin Iron Work’s shop fabricated bridge trusses for US 395.
